Fuel line overflow joint (15312-422-000)

'79 model: What's that thing for?? It's not a checkvalve, or is it?? Mine is broken and I'm thinking about replacing it (or not).

It is just a connector that joins the 2 different size overflow hoses together and mounts the assembly to the clutch cover. Don't know if they are still available, but used ones should not be hard to find - I have a bunch. No check valve.
