I'm afraid you are unlikely to get much help with your 750 project here, as this site is devoted to the CBX-1000, the only model to recieve the CBX designation in USA. The other sizes of what you call CBXs are, over here, called SuperSports and/or "F" models, So you have a CB-750F, in our terminology.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Either garage is too small or we have too many bikes. Or Momma's car needs to go outside.

From what I can 'guess', you should be able to retain your stock carbs and install individual air filters. (Here's one site for part source: http://www.partsnmore.com/parts/honda/c ... year]=1985 .) The work may require some alteration of the side panels. I'm not certain of the battery box and/or air box space locations for stock. Good luck; enjoy. Sounds to be a fun project.

He does not have a CB750F. He has a CBX750, which had a motor similar to the Nighthawk line sold in the U.S. A second generation DOHC. 1985 had no CB750F anymore.

Pull the belly-pan and I might take it over a VFR! Nice, indeed, Steve. That would be a great rider.
