Clutch Cable lengths

Does someone know what the difference in length of the sport kit clutch cable, and the standard cable?
Even approximate will do.

This is a really bad time for me to try to answer your question. I have several boxes of cables, but I cannot get to them right now, because of too much stuff hibernating in the basement in front of the parts shelves
I found one left side lever assembly with a clutch cable that is 50 inches long. I do not know if it is a short or long cable, but trying to measure the sport kit cable on my 79, it seems to be around 42 -45 inches......maybe someone else will correct me.

Actually, there are three different lengths - Stock high-bar early, sport kit, and stock late model. I have all three here but can't measure them all just now.

You wouldn't know the part numbers for the different lengths would you?

Standard U.S. model clutch cable 1979/80 22870-422-670
U.S. Sport Kit cable 1979/80 22870-422-000 (which is also the standard Euro clutch cable)
Standard U.S. model clutch cable 1981/82 22870-MA2-670


Many other Honda cables work also. For example 22870-MG5-405 (1983 CB1100F) was also released later for 79/80 as a replacement for the standard cable.

I was wondering the best way to lubricate the cables. Both throttle,
clutch & choke cables. Greasing the exposed ends I assume would
help, but further down the cable?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. And thanks much

How do you like yours? Some reviews on the tube aren't very flattering.

If it doesn't I just make a little cup/funnel at the top of the cable with electrical tape, and fill it with light oil once or twice and let it leak down into the cable.
Seems to work well for me.

Do this^^^, or just poke a hole in the corner of a baggie, stick one end of the cable through it, zip tie it sealed and fill the baggie with a couple ounces of 3-in-1 oil, and hang it. When it drips oil out the bottom, remove the baggie and do the other. Let it drip/drain for an hour, reinstall.

I have tried those cable lubers and mostly I have shot fairly expensive aerosol cable lube in my face or all over my hands, but much less down the sheath of the cable. It's just too much pressure. YMMV.
