First post, good morning gentlemen. I just got a 1982 CBX 1050 Sports Touring Honda with fairing, removable paniers (saddle bags), and a six-into-two aftermarket mufflers (which fry the bottom of my saddlebags).
1- Has anyone tried to install the older six into six exhaust on a Super Sports? My concern was about clearance with the saddle bags.
2- Is there a crash bar that would protect the saddle bags if the bike is dropped (I am a Veteran and has suffered damage/atrophy of my left leg)? I have to wear higher heel boots to reach the ground on the left side.
3- Finally, is there a good recommendation for six-in-six muffler seller in the USA (or someone who would ship to USA)?
Thank you for your help,
Ciao, L (living in Maine)

Welcome to the site, L.
PipeMasters out of Australia make a 6-6 and you cannot use the panniers with their system.
Buying a new, replica stock system that would allow the use of the bags would be cheaper.

Welcome L! Steve's advice is good - get one of the reproduction stock systems and enjoy quiet and your bags will thank you too. Never saw anyone fashion rear crash guards to a Pro-Link.

Not in the U.S., probably, but I have seen crash guards to protect the bags on Euro bikes. Someone made them. Don't know who. I thought, I just recently saw a really bad condition CBX for sale somewhere with engine crash guards that incorporated rear guards too.daves79x wrote: .
