Corbin dual canyon and aftermarket handlebar on 79 ?

On my fast red 79 , I have the stock seat. I am relatively short person (5’8”) with shorter arms. Bike has sports kit with sports handlebars. I have no issue reaching ground with both feet comfortably footed. Issue is that I have to constantly keep leaned forward and stock seat has a weird sag to it that makes it even more uncomfortable.
I would not want to swap bars to longer standard size since they don’t look as good and 2, I may need all cables and brake lines replaced.
Long story short, have two questions
1. are there any aftermarket handlebars that could be made to mount on top clamp like modern bikes ( without drilling or any permanent) mods
2. Would a Corbin dual canyon seat get rid of that sag and will position me better ?

You can try to use Prolink stock bars with a bushing to size down from 39mm to 35mm. The Prolink bars are shorter than the stock 79 bars but higher than the Sport-kit bars

Randakk sells a handle bar conversion kit, our very own Rick Pope design these yrs ago. Only problem they are for 81/82 39mm fork tubes and would need shimmed or you could upgrade to a 81/82 complete frt end and get the larger diameter fork tubes.

Originally, Mr Pope did make a 35mm as well.
I would check with Randaak to see if they have one.
Louis might even have one.

The bore center is different between the early and late kits. 81-82 WILL NOT WORK on a '79-'80.

These things were stupid costly to produce, so we didn't make more when we ran out of stock.

The issue with these is, you will have to find a place for the fuse holder and the instrument attachments are not there. I was never a fan of the LSL Superbike bridge. The CBX needs clip-ons. There are so many different Honda handlebars with 35, 37 and 39mm available, it is fairly easy to find something to your liking

Those handle bars can be moved back a little, can they? I didn't like the way they were on my prolink when i bought it so i moved them forward a bit, much better now for me. I'm 5'9" and it's perfect now, i wish my seat is a tad bit lower though

Never needed access to the fuse box in the 3? years i had the kit on my '80.

Those handlebars do move a little but that puts wrist at a crooked angle . After a little ride, you start to feel it.
Steve. That handlebar looks good. Never thought of fuse box. I may just learn to live with it :)

Mike - the part Rick made didn't replace the stock top triple clamp, it goes over top of it. Granted, fuse access is a bit fiddly, but the instrument ears and all that stays put.

As Dave said, the mount slips over the fork tubes and is secured by two pinch bolts. If access to the fuses is needed, just loosen those two bolts and raise the mount. Unless you have a handlebar mount windscreen, then it can get a bit fiddly.
