Hi Cbxtacy,
Unfortunately I just saw your post, a little overdue. It seems the spamguard was blocking the emails from the forum.
In any case, you are most welcome any time around here! However, the best roads to ride in are probably a bit rough for the old "x", but on a dual purpose, it's really a thrilling ride through most places. If you stick to the main highways, an x is ok, but watch out for speed bumps!
Let me know if you intend to come here sometime and I'll be glad to show you around. Best regards,
Luigi

Sorry to bump an old thread, but could not find any other threads that mention the use of the Twinmax sync on the CBX. Has anyone used this or have an opinion about it? I need to get a sync tool that is easy to use and be able to ship through the post office. I can't have the mercury type shipped since it contains HAZMAT, so I am looking for alternatives.
Thanks, Lee

The Carbtune syncs are also an alternative to the mercury sticks, I have had them for years and will never go back to sticks or gauges. The website has many other neat precision tools.

I have a Twinmax and have used it on almost all of my carburetted bikes that needed sync: BMW R100S (Twin), Kawasaki KZ1300 (3 two-barrel carbs) CBX (6 carbs) Ducati 750 Sport (Twin). It is easy to use and works excellent.

I bought the Twinmax to try out. Any tips or special instruction for use with the CBX or just follow the instructions. I assume the #4 is what I use as a base.

Number 4 is the base, ensure you have the correct valve clearances before you proceed. Good luck & please keep us updated...
