Re: 6 in 2 kerker
Dang, that picture brings back memories. I can name everyone in the pic, and I have some more taken there minutes later.
That was our first time over the Cherohala. We went back the next day too.

Either garage is too small or we have too many bikes. Or Momma's car needs to go outside.

The Cherohala had just opened up and we had the road to ourselves for a week, Susan was on her new to her HawK?Rick Pope wrote:Dang, that picture brings back memories. I can name everyone in the pic, and I have some more taken there minutes later.

Does it look like this or the one where all the guys are taken a wiz off the overlook?

I better be careful, I don't want the nostalgic Police to get their panties in a twist.

Re: 6 in 2 kerker
Yup, I have that picture, and another where I was behind the camera.
When the group took off, everyone departed in a glorious "Sound of 6." Susan wanted to hang back and not be part of the pack, so we took off a minute later. About 10 minutes into the ride, Charlie Weidman and Kevin ????? passed us. I took off in chase. After a few minutes, I decided to back off and let Susan catch up. Checked the mirrors and she was right on my ass. It was a good day. And yes, she was on the Hawk GT.

When you are up to your ass in alligators it is sometimes difficult
to remember that your objective was to drain the swamp !!

Jeff Bennetts wrote:Kerker also made 2 generations of that pipe, neither should need any brackets to attach to the foot plates, I don't remember which it was, the 1st or second Gen, but one is less upswept than the other.
This is the early Gen 1 on my 79 back in the 90's for comparison;
I was always under the impression that the less upswept version was the second generation. I just figured that Kerker changed it to better accommodate the saddlebags on the Pro-Links. I could be mistaken though. If so, it's certainly not an isolated incident.

Early generation Kerkers for the CBX were upswept - later ones were flatter.

Re: 6 in 2 kerker
Lining up with passenger foot peg bolt to muffler solved by elongating hole in muffler,hated to do it but only about 1/16to1/8",so close to fitting that bracket would be impractical my problem could also been solved by cutting 1/16-1/8" off end of collecter end so muffler would go on a little deeper but didn't want grind off that much,fits perfect now with a little room for expansion when all gets hot,I have upswept type units,sound sweet with one wrap of 1/4" matt on baffles

Looks like the last 3 PMs I sent you are unread. Check them and let me know if you still need the Kerker brackets. Thanks
