The Rear Caliper looks as if someone drilled it? This one was a real PIA to get apart:


Got the Sport Demons mounted and wheel back on the old girl, Damn she is looking good:


I plan on a Black paint job, just seems right for this bike.

I hope they didn't scuff up those shiny rims when they mounted the tires.
Isn't it great when a stage of restoration is completed. It usually gives energy for the next phase.

Totally agree Steve. And the "rolling chassis" is a biggie. Looking good Mike! Will root around for that 30 amp main fuse pigtail this morning.

The shop I use is really good. He is an independent so I try throw as much work as I can his way...he took great care not to scuff the wheels.

What do you think about "Phoenix" for your bike's name. Seems like you're over the hump on the Travesty phase now .

Great minds think alike! I was planing on getting a small phoenix airbrushed on the tank.

Been out of town for a week but came home to find new LPM tail piece and side covers....just need a set of decals and off the parts go to the painter.

Thanks to all who have been contributing parts and advice.

I hope to have her running mid to late Oct.

I was in California for a week, My Niece was diagnosed with epilepsy. She is doing well with it but what a drag for a 14 y/o.

Anyway I did some putzing with the Travesty today.

Here is the fuse holder that she came with:


One Nils sent me mounted in the old ones place:

The tank on the Travesty was one I bought for my red CBX. I was going to paint it and some other body parts and keep them aside for just in case.
John sent me the Travesty's original Tank and fender, I'll have to strip it and boil the inside, it wreeks of old fuel.


Not sure if I want to put the effort into this tank but hell, it is the Travesty.

Looks like the tank was not the original one from the bike. Somebody used an early tank on a later frame and instead of cutting the holding studs on the frame a little shorter, they cut out the back of the mounting brackets on the tank to make it fit.
