Green is ground. I'm not sure what the difference between 2 and 3 terminals is in operation, but they both work.

You can design a more-robust flasher if you have access to power AND ground, e.g., you can easily make the flash rate independent of load, which is a nice feature if you plan to use LEDs.

Thank you for the explanation. Something like that would have been my guess, but I did not know how to put it in words. In addition to such three terminal flashers, today's modern electronic two terminal flashers, intended for LEDs, also flash at a rate independent of load.

Thanks for all the info guys, I ordered a EFL-2 ,2 terminal flasher relay,should be here this week. I will let you know how it works out.

Installed the EFL-2 flasher and the led turn signals work great,thanks spencer.
