Timing

I am about to re-open the engine for its first checkup since rebuild. Besides some oil leaks I have to fix, the engine has been running like a champ! I am very happy for this.

Now, while performing this service I would like to do complete review of the timing. Somewhere I remember seeing a very detailed thread or article explaining how to do it through finding the TDC and checking all three points and not only the 1 and 6 cylinder. I tried searching for this but can not find the post. Can someone point me in the right direction with this?

Best.

Don't know if you are using the stock ignition or a Dyna but Aris has great info in this thread.

I hope you are not confusing the CBX with the Kawasaki KZ1300. This bike has 3 marks on the flywheel which indicate TDC for all 3 pairs of pistons.

No, I think he was referring to using a degree wheel to exactly set the pulsers 120 degrees apart. Aris did describe the procedure.
