Front sprocket cover replacement

Post by msnitker »

Hi all, new here, 2nd CBX, and a wonderful machine.

I was cleaning up the sprocket area today, and notice the black chain cover was broken on the lower tab/hole. The former owner use a bolt, spacer and washer, and it's not at all secure (top bolt is fine. I may see if the local shop can weld it, but I wanted to see if there is an aftermarket or billet cover--and unfortunately I can't/wont ride with the sprocket so close to my foot (LOL).

A perfect used one shouldn’t be very expensive.

I'd opt for finding a good used one as well, however custom ones have been made. Don't know of anyone currently making/selling those though. Like be more money anyway. Your issue is the correct mounting bolts. The Supersport Shed in GB sells correct reproduction bolts/grommets and gasket.
