Sync with 2 mercury tube set?

I've got a 2 tube mercury set from working on my old 79 Goldwing. Will it work, and what's the procedure. I've got the Honda manual and Mike Nixons book. On the 'wing, you just do one at a time to the base carb. What's not clear to me is-do I put a tee in #3 vacuum line so that the fuel will flow while it's hooked up to the sync tool?

Engine on the center stand, valve clearances set. Base carb on a CBX is number 4. It is necessary to set up a remote test tank or use the tank on a bench with a long fuel line supplying the carbs...2 mercury stix is slow but it can be done...
